Player Program FAQs

Everything you’d ask a friend already in the program.

01. Is this for me?

What kind of player is Diffy designed for?

Diffy is designed for FPS players who want to go pro and build a real career around gaming. We welcome players at any rank as long as you’re coachable, committed, and show real potential to reach elite play. We look at consistent improvement, how you respond to feedback, and your ceiling, not just where you are right now.

We’re also open to established players who feel their support hasn’t caught up to their potential. Because our approach is rigorous and hands-on, we keep the number of players we support intentionally small, so acceptance also comes down to timing.

If that sounds like you, you’ll get the kind of complete support most young players never have access to: a dedicated coaching team in your corner, a plan to grow your brand and audience, and a real shot at going pro.

Is Diffy a talent agency?

Not right now. We’re an esports performance and player-development team for FPS players. Our job is to help you get better at the game and build the visibility that makes teams and partners notice you, not to negotiate contracts or manage sponsorships. That’s our focus today, and what we offer may expand as we grow.

Is Diffy a competitive esports team?

Not at this time. Diffy develops individual FPS players rather than fielding our own roster to compete in tournaments. A competitive Diffy team is something we may build as we grow, but for now our focus is developing players one at a time.

What games does Diffy currently support?

We’re currently focused exclusively on VALORANT, with plans to expand into other FPS titles like CS2 as the program grows. We support MnK (mouse and keyboard) players only. Our player-development system is built specifically around MnK gameplay, which is what lets us go deep instead of spreading thin.

02. How does the program work?

What does a typical month look like?

Each month, your coaching team runs a deep-dive that pairs pro-level insight with AI-assisted analysis to pinpoint what’s holding you back, and you leave with a personalized improvement kit to work on. They stay on Discord between sessions for questions and feedback.

Your creative team produces content for your platforms and keeps building your brand and audience, and your tech team keeps your setup, software, and gear dialed in with fast troubleshooting.

How much of each you get — coaching depth, content output, gear, even covered development expenses — scales with your tier. Monthly check-ins keep everything aligned as your goals evolve, so coaching, content, and tech all move your career forward at once.

What does coaching actually cover?

Your coaching team, which includes a dedicated lead coach, pairs pro-level competitive experience with AI tools to find what’s really holding you back, including the patterns you can’t see yourself, like how effective your aggression really is.

Each month, your own 2–3 hour deep-dive with your coaching team is where it comes together. They walk you through what they found and build your plan around the few highest-impact fixes, not everything at once. Working a few at a time is what makes each change stick and build, instead of overhauling everything and going backward.

You leave each deep-dive with a personalized improvement kit (custom drills, video guides, clear goals, and more) to work on until next time. And the team doesn’t disappear in between: they’re on Discord for check-ins, quick questions, and spot help whenever you need it.

What does the creative team produce?

Each month, your creative team produces professionally edited long-form highlights and short-form clips optimized for each of your platforms, along with custom thumbnails, strategic posting guidance, and support shaping your streaming presence (the amount scales with your tier). You’ll also get opportunities to collaborate with fellow Diffy talent.

It starts with an in-depth onboarding interview to understand your personality, competitive goals, and brand preferences. From there, your creative team builds a tailored content strategy to grow your audience and your personal brand, plus a growth dashboard so you can see what’s working.

You handle uploading and publishing. We handle everything else and give you clear, step-by-step resources to make it simple. Extras like custom brand assets and a merch storefront are available as optional add-ons, and featured placements on Diffy channels come at the top tier.

What tech and setup support is included?

Your tech team handles detailed optimization of your PC and peripherals, remote configuration of your streaming software (OBS or Streamlabs), overlays, alerts, and channel integrations, all customized to your setup and goals.

We also provide personalized gear recommendations and Discord server setup, including channel permissions, role creation, moderation bots, and basic integrations. Tech support runs through Discord with fast response times, typically within a few hours, with urgent issues prioritized.

At the top tier, support extends to pro-grade gear: a high-performance PC and peripherals, so your hardware keeps pace with your goals.

Does Diffy help me get sponsors?

Not yet, at least not directly. We don’t find sponsors or negotiate deals on your behalf, but we do help you build the brand and audience that make those opportunities happen naturally. You’re always free to pursue your own deals, and we’re happy to help you evaluate an offer, understand the terms, or decide whether it’s a good fit. As the program grows, that’s something we may take on more directly.

Who owns the content and brand assets Diffy creates for me?

You do — full stop. All content, brand assets (logos, emotes, overlays, banners, etc.), and any creative materials we produce for you are 100% yours. We may occasionally ask permission to showcase your work for marketing purposes, but we’ll never use your content or branding without your explicit approval.

03. What does it cost?

What does my monthly plan actually get me?

Diffy offers tiered monthly support, starting at $3,500/month with Launch and scaling up through Momentum, Ascend, and Diffy Blast. Every tier includes coaching, content production, brand-growth strategy, and full tech support. Higher tiers add more coaching depth, more content, and more exposure. After your evaluation, we’ll recommend the tier that fits your goals. See the full tier breakdown on the Start your rise page.

Is it worth the investment?

Yes, if you’re serious about going pro. Diffy replaces the patchwork most players cobble together — a coach here, an editor there, a tech guy when something breaks — with one connected team. Your gameplay growth drives your content. Your content builds your brand. Your tech setup supports both. You move faster with less friction, and nothing gets missed.

On your own, you’re probably already spending on coaching, video editing, design work, tech help, and tools, and spending even more time trying to make it all work together. The problem isn’t the individual pieces. It’s that nobody’s coordinating them, so you’re the one managing your own career on top of trying to compete.

And the bigger cost is time. Every month without the right support is momentum you don’t get back, and the window to break through in esports doesn’t stay open forever.

It matters because the players who go furthest in esports aren’t just great at the game. They’ve built the brand, the audience, and the visibility that open up opportunities. We can’t guarantee where it leads, but Diffy is built to develop both sides together and give you a real shot.

What’s included in the $500 application fee?

The $500 fee covers a complete expert evaluation: a deep, personalized review from our coaching, creative, and tech teams. We review your gameplay footage and stats, your gaming setup, any active content channels, and the goals you share in your application. Within five business days, you’ll receive a written evaluation outlining your strengths, key improvement areas, and specific next steps across your gameplay, online presence, and setup.

The evaluation is yours to keep whether or not you join Diffy. It’s a standalone resource with real value either way. The fee is non-refundable once your evaluation is delivered — though if we ever fail to deliver it within 15 business days, you can request a full refund. Because we fully re-evaluate your materials each time, a new $500 fee applies if you reapply in the future.

What are the optional upgrades?

Optional upgrades include professional branding assets like custom logos, emotes, banners, and stream overlays, as well as personalized merch capsules, which are custom collections of branded merchandise designed specifically around you. These are available at all support tiers and come standard for Diffy Blast talent. A dedicated merch storefront to set up and manage your store is available as an add-on at any tier.

How do I pay?

All payments are processed securely through Stripe. We accept credit/debit cards, Apple Pay, Amazon Pay, Cash App Pay, Klarna, and Link. The $500 application fee is a one-time charge at checkout. If you’re accepted, monthly support fees are billed at the start of each month. You’ll receive a Stripe invoice before each charge and an email receipt after every payment.

04. What is Diffy Blast?

What is Diffy Blast, and who’s it for?

Diffy Blast is the top of the program: our invite-only, ultra-exclusive tier, where everything Diffy offers comes together at its fullest. Blast players get the deepest support, gear, and resources to build a lasting esports career, with fees reduced or fully covered. Spots are reserved for a small number of players, whether they’re invited when they apply or earn their place as they grow with us.

What does a Blast package include?

A Blast package is the most complete version of everything Diffy offers. You get the most hands-on coaching (including specialized coaches for targeted areas), the fullest content and brand support with custom brand assets, and pro-grade gear. You also get the top content cadence (3 long-form videos and 24 shorts a month), exclusive collabs with popular pros and streamers, featured placements on Diffy channels, invitations to limited-slot events, and coverage for eligible development expenses such as connectivity, tools, or event travel.

How is Blast funded?

Blast perks are funded through Diffy’s Player Development Fund, a contributor-backed pool that works like a structured, esports-focused GoFundMe. Supporters directly fuel a player’s development so select Blast players can focus fully on competing and growing without the financial burden.

How do I qualify?

Qualification depends on your gameplay, your trajectory, and your commitment. Even if you don’t qualify right away, you can earn a Blast invitation at any point as you progress through the program. Your coaching team and the broader Diffy team are always evaluating who’s ready for that next level of support.

What if I get invited to Blast while I’m already on a paid tier?

Getting invited to Blast is a big step up, and the switch is clean. We move you up from the date Blast starts and refund any portion of your current fees that’s now covered, so you never pay twice for the same period.

05. What’s the commitment?

How long is the agreement, and what if I need to cancel?

Agreements start with a 3-month minimum commitment because we invest significant time and resources into your onboarding and setup. After each 3-month period, you can decide whether to renew. The agreement isn’t exclusive, so you’re always free to pursue your own sponsors or partnerships.

If you cancel before the end of your current period, you’ll pay 50% of the remaining fees. For example, if there’s one month left at $3,500, the cancellation fee would be $1,750.

Can I take a break without losing progress?

Yes, and you won’t lose a thing. During any 3-month commitment, you can pause your support for up to one month. Your coaching notes, content, and improvement plans are all saved in the Google Workspace we set you up with, so when you come back, we pick up right where you left off.

Can I change tiers later?

Yes. You can upgrade at any time during your 3-month commitment. Moves to a lower tier can only happen at renewal. At each renewal, we’ll review your progress together and recommend the level of support that best fits where you’re headed.

06. How do I apply?

What should I have ready before I apply?

You’ll move through the application faster if you have these ready: your gamer tag and Discord ID, a link to your public stats profile (on a tracking site like Tracker.gg), three full ranked match videos (YouTube, Twitch, Google Drive, or similar), your social links and follower counts, and a payment method for the $500 application fee. The whole application takes about ten minutes when you’re prepared.

How do I record my gameplay?

You don’t need fancy software — just something that can capture a full match from start to finish. Here are the most common options:

OBS Studio (free, open-source) — The most popular option. Download from obsproject.com, add a Game Capture source, and hit Record. Use the default settings to start — they’re good enough for what we need.

NVIDIA ShadowPlay — If you have an NVIDIA GPU, open GeForce Experience, enable the in-game overlay (Alt+Z), and turn on recording. You can record full sessions or use the instant replay feature to capture the last few minutes.

AMD ReLive — If you have an AMD GPU, open Adrenalin Software, go to the Recording & Streaming tab, and enable ReLive. Use Ctrl+Shift+R to start and stop recording.

Windows Game Bar — Built into Windows. Press Win+G to open it, then click the record button. Simple but works. Note: it only records the active window, so make sure your game is focused.

Whichever tool you use, record the entire match from start to finish — we need to see full games, not highlight clips or montages. A single match recording is usually 2–10 GB depending on resolution and length, so make sure you have enough disk space before you start.

Privacy tip: Protecting player privacy is part of how we operate, so we want to help you protect yours too. Before uploading, scan your recording for anything personal that might have slipped in — your real name in Discord, a home address on a delivery tab, private messages in chat overlays, or email notifications that pop up mid-game. If you spot anything, trim that section, blur it out, or re-record with notifications turned off.

Once your matches are recorded, see how to make sure your gameplay videos are accessible.

How do I make sure my gameplay videos are accessible?

We need to be able to watch your videos without logging in or requesting access. Here’s how to set that up for each platform:

YouTube — Set the video to Unlisted or Public. Private videos won’t work — we can’t see them even with the link. To check: go to YouTube Studio → Content, find your video, and confirm the visibility is set to Unlisted or Public.

Twitch VODs — Go to Creator Dashboard → Settings → Stream and make sure “Store past broadcasts” is turned on. VODs are set to public by default, but check that yours aren’t subscriber-only (Settings → Stream → VOD Settings). Important: Twitch VODs expire after 14 days (60 days for Partners and Turbo subscribers). If your VODs might expire before we review your application, download them and re-upload to YouTube (unlisted) or Google Drive instead.

Google Drive — Right-click the file → Share → General access → change from “Restricted” to “Anyone with the link.” Make sure the role is set to “Viewer.” Copy the sharing link and test it in an incognito window to confirm it works without signing in.

Dropbox — Click Share on the file, then under “Who has access,” choose “Anyone with the link.” Copy the link and test it in an incognito window.

Other platforms — Whatever you use, the test is the same: open your link in an incognito or private browser window. If you can watch the video without logging in, we can too.

Privacy tip: Protecting player privacy is part of how we operate. Give your recordings a quick scan for anything personal that might have slipped in — real names, home addresses, private messages, or notifications. Trim or blur if needed.

If we can’t access a video, we’ll reach out — but fixing it up front means a faster review. Questions? Email us at support@diffy.gg.

Need to record your matches first? See how to record your gameplay.

How do I make my stats profile public?

We use your stats profile to evaluate your gameplay as part of the application. Most trackers need your profile set to public before we can see your data. Here’s how to do it for each game:

VALORANT on tracker.gg/valorant — Sign in with your Riot ID and authorize Tracker Network to access your data. Your profile becomes public once authorized.

CS2 on tracker.gg/cs2 — Set your Steam profile game details to public. Log in on Tracker.gg via Steam, generate a Game Authentication Code, and enter a recent Match Token.

Deadlock on tracklock.gg or deadlocktracker.gg — Set your Steam profile to public, then link your Steam account on the tracker site.

Apex Legends on apex.tracker.gg — Go to your EA privacy settings and set game stats sharing to public. If you play on Steam, also set your Steam profile and game details to public. Search your gamertag on the tracker and copy your profile link.

Call of Duty on cod.tracker.gg — Go to callofduty.com, sign in, then navigate to Linked Accounts → Privacy and Security and set Data Visible to All.

Rainbow Six Siege on r6.tracker.network — Check that your Ubisoft profile privacy is set to public (it usually is by default). Copy your profile link.

Fortnite on fortnitetracker.com — In-game: Settings → Account and Privacy → Gameplay Privacy → Public Game Stats → ON. Play one match afterward.

Still unsure? Email us at support@diffy.gg and we’ll help you out.

Do I need to already have followers or a content channel?

No. Many players join Diffy before they’ve started creating content or building a following. The program is designed to help you build from scratch: coaching, content production, and brand development are all part of what you get. If you already have a channel or audience, great. We’ll build on what you have.

What if I’m under 18?

Players under 18 are welcome, but a parent or legal guardian must complete the application and remain the primary point of contact throughout the program. All voice and video interactions with minors happen in approved, moderated spaces with a guardian present. See our Privacy Policy for full details on how we protect minors.

How does parental consent work for applicants under 18?

A parent or legal guardian completes and submits the application and pays the application fee — that card payment is how we obtain verifiable parental consent under COPPA. Right after submission, a copy of the required notice goes to the parent at the email used for payment; we don’t keep a separate parent name or email on file. A parent can review the information we hold, have it deleted, or refuse any further use at any time by emailing privacy@diffy.gg.

07. What happens after I apply?

What exactly happens after I apply?

Within five business days, you’ll receive your detailed evaluation. If you’re a strong fit, we’ll schedule a one-on-one session to review your results together, build a personalized plan around your goals, and get your support agreement set up. If you’re not quite ready yet, you’ll still walk away with a clear picture of where you stand and exactly what it’ll take to get there.

What’s onboarding like?

Quick, organized, and stress-free. You’ll get your own Diffy email and Google Workspace account, including a Google Drive folder for performance reviews, gameplay footage, and session recordings. You’ll also get licensed access to the professional tools we use, all at no extra cost. We coordinate your first coaching and content sessions through shared calendars, and sessions can always be rescheduled if something comes up.

What does my first month look like?

Your first month is all about building the foundation. You’ll complete onboarding, have your first coaching deep-dive, start working through your personalized improvement plan, and kick off content production with the creative team. It’s the busiest month because we’re setting everything up, but by the end of it you’ll have a clear routine, your first batch of content in progress, and a solid understanding of exactly what you’re working toward.

08. How do I know it’s working?

How does Diffy measure and improve my performance?

We find and fix the specific things holding you back from playing your best, starting with whatever’s costing you the most. When you fix the right things in the right order, the stats and the wins follow.

Our AI breaks down your gameplay the way pro sports teams break down film, tracking patterns across areas like your mechanics, game sense, and mental performance. It catches things you’d never notice on your own, like which team comps quietly shut you down or whether your ults are actually leading to round wins. Your coaching team turns those insights into your monthly plan, always targeting whatever has the biggest impact first.

On the content side, we track what’s driving growth across your channels and your creative team uses that data to sharpen your strategy each month.

You’ll see progress across both sides, and we review everything together in monthly check-ins so you always know exactly where you stand.

How do monthly check-ins work?

Each month, we review every side of your development together: gameplay, content, brand, and tech. Your coaching team walks through your performance data, highlights what’s improving, and adjusts your plan around what needs the most focus. Your creative team digs into how your content and brand are growing, flags what’s resonating, and sharpens your strategy for what’s next. We also make sure your tech setup and gear stay dialed in. It’s your chance to raise anything too: new goals, frustrations, or ideas. Check-ins keep everything aligned so nothing drifts.

What if I feel stuck or want to change direction?

Just say so. Feeling stuck or wanting a change is normal, and we plan for both. If you’re stuck, we dig into what’s behind it and adjust your plan to get you moving again, whether that’s a new training focus or a shift in your content strategy. If you want a bigger change, like a different role, playstyle, or brand direction, we’ll build a new plan around it. The program is built to adapt to you, not the other way around.
